A
remote management system is a system incorporating electronics devices and
computers that are used by operators of distribution and transmission networks
in the domains of gas, water, power…
Its main features are:
| |
Remote monitoring (monitoring of an installation's parameters)
Remote alarm (allows an operator to be alerted in case of alarm)
Remote
control, remote set points (permits to control an installation
in real-time)
Optimization of the network operating in real time or by using
the database made up of the data gathered on the network. |
Mandatory,
a remote management system includes the following elements:
| |
Sensors and actuators
The sensor's role is to convert the physical status of the device
into an electrical signal (open/close valve, pressure value, …) The
role of the actuators is to carry out an action on a device (close
a valve for example). We are talking about digital and analogue input/output.
Sevme Informatique don't product sensors or actuators , but can integrated
them into an offer.
Remote Terminal Unit (RTU)
The role of this device is to take into account the sensors and the
actuators, to process the data supplied, to record and transmit the
data. Sevme Informatique develop and manufacture all their RTUs for
this purpose.
Communication Means
Sevme Informatique use the different transmission supports, which
are available and sometimes can create one such as private radio network.
Network Control Centre (SCADA)
Its role is to control and administrate the RTUs and network elements.
A SCADA is made up of one or more computers, SCADA and DMS software,
and the means of communication.
Sevme Informatique develop and integrate all the SCADA systems proposed. |
